The very heart and soul of CISV, the Junior Branch is a group of local CISVers (ages 11-25) who are developing intercultural skills through educational and social activities consistent with CISV's goals. The Junior Branch manage their own activities and take an active role in the administrative responsibilities of their chapters. Operating through a network at the national and international level, the JB organize their own programs on a wide variety of themes, such as social justice and the environment. Junior Branch activities are aimed at building community, developing skills and promoting peace through education.
All members of CISV Chattanooga who are between the ages of 11 and 25 years are automatically members of the Junior Branch. Our Junior Branch has its own officers, meetings, educational, and social activities. Junior Branch involvement offers the opportunity for leadership development and is an important part of CISV’s educational program.
Whether you plan to travel in a CISV program or not, all are welcome to be a part of the Junior Branch!
