In 2011, after hearing about the destruction in Joplin and Webb City, Chapter LR decided to have "Christmas in July". Each December we choose a worthy cause to donate to in lieu of giving each other gifts. Our very generous chapter decided not to wait for December, but instead use our own personal funds to purchase Scrips cards to send to the 4 chapters in Joplin and the 2 chapters in Webb City.
