A resident on Church Avenue has had a card scam.
He was called up and informed that his card had been cloned and that they will send a courier to collect his card and his details. The resident believed it was genuine when they turned up to get the card that he handed it over. A little after he thought about it and then called his bank who said no it’s the not case and thankfully stopped the card. The resident then received a call from the person again saying he had received his card and had he had them stopped? The resident said yes and the male was then abusive down the phone and he hung up.
Please do not give your details to anyone over the phone, and never hand over your card to anyone. Phone Police on 101 to report the incident.
