Planning permission has been submitted again for 182A High Street to turn the old Supa Electrics site into another pub. The landlord sought permission in December 2011, but was refused on 4 grounds. We spoke to the proprietor, who owns a chain of pubs in the London area who said he would be applying for permission again. Despite Cllr Tickner advising him that there is a ban on all new alcohol licences in Beckenham, he has still gone ahead and submitted an almost identical application.
CBRA will be writing to oppose the application, and as ever, we need as many applications as possible to fight it!
