Prophecy #122

Theme: Christ's Return in Judgment

Hosea 11:10, 11:

“They shall walk after the Lord. He will roar like a lion. When He roars, then His sons shall come trembling from the west. They shall come trembling like a bird from Egypt, like a dove from the land of Assyria. And I will let them dwell in their houses.”

The expression, “Lion of the tribe of Judah,” is a Messianic title applied to the Lord Jesus (prophecy #11). Here it speaks of Jesus’ Second Coming as a lion (the king of beasts) and whose roar is symbolic of His return in judgment as King to establish His Millennial Kingdom. When the Lord returns, He will sit in judgment of the nations (cf. prophecy #113), including those in the west (America included). His roar will also call God’s covenant people back from their worldwide dispersion. At that time, the people will speed back to their homeland like a bird. Finally, the Lord will bring full restoration, nationally and spiritually, to a repentant Israel.
