5th Conference on Econometrics for Environment

The 5th Conference on Econometrics for Environment (CE2-2024) will be hosted by Mohammed University in Rabat (FSJES-Souissi) on December 27-28, 2024 as onsite version. The conference aims to bring together academics, practitioners and policymakers sharing interest in climate change, energy and environmental economics. It provides a forum for presenting new research results as well as discussing current and challenging issues in econometrics and statistics for environment and other related topics. It is also an excellent avenue to obtain quality feedback and an important opportunity for networking among researchers, academics, consultants and industry executives to promote a multidisciplinary approach to strengthen research and interaction between environmental sciences and econometrics/statistics.
This 5th edition, which includes invited talks and PhD/young researchers sessions, will focus on methodological/applied contributions on the following and non limited topics of interest:
Economic growth in relation to the environment and more particularly climate change;
Renewable energies and sustainable development;
Impacts of climate change on agriculture;
Environmental risk impact assessment and public health;
Modeling land use changes and their impacts on the environment (greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity conservation, water quality, etc.);
Innovative financing for sustainable development;
Environmental taxation and ecological transition;
Climate change impact on food safety;
Environmental policy assessment;
Energy transitions and energy system efficiency modeling;
Time series modeling and statistics of extremes with applications to Environmental data analysis;
Spatial statistics and analysis of massive, functional climatic/environmental data.
