 Raja Chakir

Paris-Saclay Applied Economics, INRAE-AgroParisTech, France

Bio:  Raja Chakir is a senior researcher at the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRAE). She holds a degree in Statistics Engineering from the Institut National de Statistique et d'Economie Appliquée (INSEA) in Morocco and a PhD in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics. Her research focuses on econometric analysis of land use changes and their impacts on the environment with a particular focus on the climate change, loss of biodiversity and water quality. She is teaching Environmental Econometrics at the AgroParisTech as well as at the University Paris 1-La Sorbonne. She has participated at several French and European projects and has carried out expertise for many institutions (World Bank, French ADEME and the European Commission). 

Title of the talk: The impact of climate change on agriculture: a repeat-Ricardian analysis 

Pedro A. Cerqueira

University of Coimbra, Portugal.

Bio: Pedro A. Cerqueira is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and is affiliated to the CeBER (Centre for Business and Economics Research – Coimbra). Since 2016, he has been board member of INFER (http://www.infer-research.eu/),  in charge of the workshop committee. He holds a PhD in Economics (2007, European University Institute, Florence, Italy), an MSc in Monetary and Financial Economics (2000, ISEG, Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal) and a BSc in Economics (1996, University of Coimbra, Portugal). Besides, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA in 2013-2014. His research interests include the Economics of European Integration, Business Cycles, Economic Growth and Energy Economics. 

Title of the talk: Evaluating market splitting determinants using non-parametric methods 

Fatima Driouech

Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Morocco. 

Bio: Dr. Fatima Driouech is Associate Professor at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. She holds a PhD in Sciences of the Universe, Environment, and Land surfaces (Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse) and an Engineer degree from the National School of Meteorology (Toulouse, France). Before joining the University, she has been leading the National Meteorological Research Center at the Moroccan General Directorate of Meteorology then the National Climate Center. Dr. Fatima Driouech is Vice-Chair of Working Group I of the IPCC and a coordinator of MedECC network. She is also member of the management group of the WMO Commission for Services and Applications, and Co-chair of its Standing Committee on Climate Services. F. Driouech has led and contributed to several works and studies on climate and climate change.
