This is a list of Leadership Roles that must be filled to operate the club.
4-H Leader – This person will be the official representative of the club to the 4-H. He/she must complete the 4-H certification training and is responsible for 4-H compliance.
Fair Coordinator – This person will coordinate all the fair exhibition activities. This will include setting and communicating schedules, ensuring that entries are complete and ready, coordinating the purchase of fair passes/tickets, setting rotation schedule for exhibit and demonstration duty at the fair, etc. This is a seasonal role that supports the entire club.
4-H “Record Book” Coordinator/Mentor – This person will work with club members to encourage and teach how to keep the Record Book. Individual Record Books are important in engineering work, and are also judged by 4-H at the Fair.
Treasurer – Responsible for accounting of all club monetary activities and reporting such. This person will not have signature authority for expenditures.
Mentors – Can be experts in building, programming, research, fundraising, web design, or any other aspect of running a 4-H Robotics club. They will also become experts (relatively speaking) in teaching those skills to our members.
FRC Coordinator/Liaison – This person will be the primary contact with FIRST for the FRC team. He/she will work closely with the FRC team Coach to ensure good communications and compliance with FIRST.
Sponsor/Outreach Coordinator – This person will be responsible for coordinating demonstrations, exhibitions, presentations, grant requests, sales, other fund raising and collaboration activities. This person will work with sponsors, organizations and other teams. This role is primarily outward facing.
Publicist/Press Coordinator – Helps to promote the club and the teams to outside organizations and the press. The publicist will work closely with the Outreach Coordinator, and will ensure that the club participates in fairs, parades, and other public events.
Web Master – Manages the club web site (https://sites.google.com/site/cc4hrobotics/) and ensures that content is updated and appropriate.
Team Coach – This person will lead one of the Competition Teams (JrFLL, FLL, FTC, or FRC as appropriate) through the season. The coach sets the teams pace and keeps them focused. The coach will make sure that the teams are registered, have what they need, and get where they they need to be going. A strong technical understanding is recommended but not mandatory since mentors will be assigned to each team. This role is only active during the competition season.
