Mission Statement
In the tradition of engineers through time, we hereby create this club to provide opportunities for students to learn, practice, and employ the lessons learned in the various areas of Engineering and Architectural Design. We declare that this club is open to any and all students who have a desire to learn more about the various technologies that are associated with the various career pathways in Engineering. It is our pledge to provide opportunities for success through competitions on the local, state and national level, and establish a firm base on which the participants to further their interest in Engineering in College, Technical School, and/or the work place.
Club Dues:
$45.00 -
When you join the club, You will registered as a SkillsUSA member, which will allow you to compete in the competitions held that school year.
Organization Affiliations:
The Cypress Bay Engineering Club is affiliated with SkillsUSA (Both State & National Organizations), and the local Broward County Student Technology Association (BSTA).

This is a competition held annually for the Engineering Students of the county to
demonstrate their skills through various competitions on the Middle and High
School levels.

(The Official (CTSO) for all Engineering classes in Broward County)
SkillsUSA is a State/National nonprofit organization serving teacher, high school, and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. Formerly known as VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America). SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA has 3 progressive competitions. By placing in the competitions will earn you a spot on the competition teams sent to the next level. The Competitions:
1st - Regionals
We are affiliated with Florida Region 5, which includes Dade, Broward,
and Palm Beach Counties. The Competitions are held in February.
2nd - States
This is a 3 - 4 Day competition held in Pensacola, Florida during the
Month of April. Those teams/competitors who have placed as the top 3
teams will have the opportunity to participate in this competition.
Students that competed but didn't place, will be the first to be offered the
opportunities to fill in any openings on the State Competition Teams
should they want to.
3rd - Nationals
This is a 6 day competition held in Louisville Kentucky, where the top 1%
of all Career & Technical students in America and the Territories will have
a place to compete and demonstrate their Skills. This is a very intense and
fun opportunity for students to compete. It will also allow them to
network with students from around the country.
