Class Rules
I am Expected to:
1. Be on time for class, seated and properly prepared for class before the tardy bell
rings; late students must have a pass to enter class.
2. Students must remain in their seats until dismissed by the instructor; NOT THE BELL.
3. Respect the teacher, substitute, classmates, and others at all times.
4. Demonstrate appropriate behavior and use good ethics.
5. Become an active member of the CTSO (SkillsUSA).
6. Work quietly in class, either by yourself or with others.
7. Listen carefully to all directions and ask questions at the appropriate time or when
prompted.
8. Turn in all assignments when due; pre-assigned dates will be adhered to. Late work
will be accepted as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct Book.
9. Bring class supplies (Flash Drive/Thumb Drive)
(No Disk = No work, No Work = 0 Grade).
10. Save computer assignments to their (Flash Drive/Thumb Drive) only.
11. Inspect and report all problems immediately that occur with assigned computer,
classroom equipment, and/or texts.
12. Maintain a clean work environment and return any and all borrowed materials to the
appropriate place prior to the end of the class period.
13. Use passes as a privilege; students must report only to the destination written on
the pass and return immediately to class.
14. Be responsible for your materials and assignments.
15. Log ON to your assigned computer at the beginning of class and OFF the computer
at the end of the period.
Classroom/Computer/Lab Policy:
Students will NOT:
1. Conduct themselves in any way that could cause injury or damage to their fellow
students or class equipment.
2. Use computer software or applications that have not been approved for class.
3. Change the format or appearance of the computer. (Example: Theme/Background,
Add or delete icons from the Desk Top).
4. Save assignments to the Hard Drive.
5. Install or remove programs or servers on the computers.
6. Print items that are not associated with the class lessons or assignments without the
permission of the instructor.
7. Play Computer Games of any kind.
8. Use the internet for any purpose other than what is assigned by the instructor. If
there is a need to use the Internet for school purposes, you must first ask for
permission from the instructor.
9. Deface or damage the equipment and/or classroom supplies.
10. Change the layout of the keys on the computer Keyboard or disconnect the
components from the computers.
11. EAT or DRINK in the Classroom except in designated areas.
12. Use Cell phones in class.
13. Use personal electronic devices (PED’s) without instructor permission.
14. Use or deface other student accounts on the computers.
15. Submit assignments that are not yours; Do your own work!!!
By not adhering to these rules will result in disciplinary actions and/or result in a reduction of grade. Students are to adhere to the above stated rules and the School Board of Broward County Code of Conduct. Any specific rule or policy not outlined in this syllabus should be referred to through the Code of Conduct Manual.
**Students will be held accountable for equipment that is damaged due to student misuse.**
When employers evaluate their employees, they look for good manners, pride in work, pleasant disposition, cooperative attitude, and respect for yourself and others. These are the Qualities in which we expect you to demonstrate in this class.
