Best thank you to a piano teacher ever written:

Dear Carol,

Love,

Kevin Rhinesmith

Words truly cannot explain how grateful I am for the last 10 years I've been able to learn from you. If it weren't for you, I would have quit piano several years ago and I never would have come close to this amazing accomplishment I got to share with you today. You have taught me the skills to become a great piano player, but above all you have taught me the finer things in life and how to become a better person. I will carry all the knowledge, patience, and truly caring support with me for the rest of my life, knowing that these gifts you gave me will be ingrained in my personality forever. I have had countless teachers in my life, whether they be from school, sports or other piano teachers, and have spent time with all of them. I can honestly say that you are the best teacher I've ever had. Thank you for patiently dealing with my busy lifestyle which was not friendly to a consistent practice schedule! I have one last thing to thank you for, you've accidentally or possibly intentionally taught me the importance of having fun. In my early years of playing for you, I'm sure that you remember that I would never smile when I bowed after a song. I did it because that was simply my personality at the time. But as I spent more time with you, your enthusiasm began to spread to me. Piano was no longer all about being serious and feeling bad after a sub-par recital; it was about the beauty of music and the joy it brings people, especially the joy it brings me. You changed not just my view on music but also my view on life. I could never thank you enough for all that you do, Carol. I will always make sure to stay in touch.Again thank you for everything and I hope that you enjoy our final recital today!
