Presidents Message
We have entered a new year with many expectations. First of all we will elect a new international board. A board which will be a correct reflection of our membership file. I call upon candidates (teams) who will fulfil the duty of an international board and which will socialize with all our members. I hope that all of you will participate during the 32th FECC convention with board election in Prilep (Macedonia). The all-in participation price is very attractive.
Wir sind wieder ein neues Jahr eingetreten mit vielen Erwartungen. Erstens werden wir einen neuen internationalen Vorstand wählen.Ich fordere alle Vorstandskandidaten auf, welche um einen neuen Vorstand zu bilden und mit all unseren Mitglieder zu solializieren. Ich hoffe das Sie teilnehmen werden während des 32.Treffen mit Vorstandswahl in Prilep (Mazedonien) Die Teilnahmepreis ist sehr günstig

Bulgaria
In the weekend of 27/28/29th January took the 21st International Masquerade Festival place in Pernik. There were 88 groups with approx.6000 participants. Foreign groups came from Italy, Slovenia, Albania, China, Greece, Latvia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Serbia. From Montenegro, The Netherlands, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Czech Republic and the Palestine State were officials . The Mayor Ms. Rositsa Yanakieva, her team and Mr. Kyril Manov deserve our respect.
Im Wochenende von 27.,28.u.29.Januar hat das 21.International Masquarade Fest in Pernik stattgefunden. 88 Gruppen mit ungefähr 6000 Teilnehmer haben teilgenommen.
Ausländische Gfruppen kamen aus Italien, Slovenien, Albanien, Griechenland, China, Lettland, Mazedonien, Bulgarien und Serbien, weil offizielle Vertreter anwesend waren aus Palestinien, die Niederlanden, Montengro,Ukraine, Tschechien, Russland, Weissrussland. Der Oberbürgermeister Frau Rositsa Yanakieva und Herr Kyril Manov haben unser Respekt verdient.
Croatia
In all the Croatian cities are carnivals between 18-21rst February. One of the famous Croatian carnivals is Rijeka. There are several activities as the "Paris-Bakar" rally with decorated (classic) cars.
The children's parade is on 11th February and the International Carnival Parade with over 100 participating groups will take on 19th February. The "Maskenball" in the Governor Palace with all the diplomats is very famous in all Croatia. For informations : www.ri-karneval.com.hr
In allen Kroatischen Städte gibt es Karneval zwischen 18.u.21.Februar. Ein des berühmsten Kroatischen Karneval ist Rijeka. Dort sind verschiedene Ereignissen wie die "Paris-Bakar"Sternfahrt mit dekorierten alten Wagewn. Der Kinderkarnevalumzug findet statt am 11.Februar und der Internationale Karnevalsumzug mit über 100 Gruppen finder statt am 19.Februar. Macedonia
Like in all the East European cities the carnivals are celebrated according the Julian calendar thus between 25th-28th February. The carnivals of Strumiga and Prilep take place on Saturday 25th ands Strumiga 26th Februar.
The board members Dr. David Brandao und Henry van der Kroon will visit these carnival in connection with the forthcoming 32nd FECC convention.
Wie in allen Osteuropäischen Städte findet die Karneval statt gemäss des Julianischen Kalender zwischen 25.und 28.Februar. Die Karneval von Strumiga und Prilep finden statt am Samstag 25. und Sontah 26.Februar. Die Vordstandmitglieder Dr.David Brandao und Henry van der Kroon werden beide Städte besuchen mit Rücksicht auf das kommende 32.FECC Treffen.
Serbia
The cities Smederevo (120.000 citizens) and Novi Sad (250.000 citizens) have applied for FECC membership. Both cities have prestigeous festivals already.
Die Grossstädte Smederevo (120.000 Einw) und Novi Sad(250.000 Einw) haben einen Antrag für FECC Mitgliedschaft gestellt. Beide Städte haben schon prestigiöse Festivals,
Slovenia
Ptuj/Maribor are a part of the European Cultural Capital. The start of this phenomenon will be with the KURENTOVANJE 2012 .The 1st International Etno Fest. The official opening ceremony takes place on 10th February in Ptuj.
During the week from 11-18th February are many events and expositions.The 52th international parade will take place on 19th February 2012. The FECC president is appointed as honorary president of the recommend committee.See www.kurentovanje.net
Die Städte Ptuj u.Maribor sind Teil des Europäischen kulturellen Hauptstadt.Der Start des Phänomen wird das KURENTOVANJE 2012. Das 1.Internationale EtnoFest. Die offizielle Eröffnungsfeier wird stattfinden am 10.Februar in Ptuj. Während der Woche von 11.bis 18.Februar sind viele Ereignissen und Ausstellungen.Der 52.Internationale Umzug findet statt am 19.Februar. Deutschland
The famous carnivals in Germany are Düsseldorf, Cologne, Mainz and Cottbus.
The day of the parades is "Rosenmontag". The start of the German carnival is after 6th January with several shows ( Herrensitzungen) and than the Thursday before the carnivals weekend is "Alterweibernacht" (old bitch night) This year 16th February. Important for us is the initiative of Ms.Marion Hirsche for a youth weekend .
Die berühmte Karnevals in Deutschland sind Düsseldorf, Köln,Mainz und Cottbus. Der Tag der Umzüge ist "Rosenmontag". Der Anfang des Deutschen Karneval findet statt nach 6.Januar mit verschiedenen Herrensitzungen und weiterhin Alterweibefrnacht.(dieses Jahr am 16.Februar). Wichting ist das initiative von Frau Marion Hirsch mit die Jugendwoche für junge Kasrnevalisten.
Greece / Cyprus
The carnivalparades of Patras, Xanthi, Creta, Limassol are celebrated on 26th February. On the 27th February will be "Clean Monday". It is the day that you will thousand of kites in the air. During my visit to the Mayor of Limassol Mr. Andreas Christou has he told me that he is very enthusiast as host of the 34th FECC Convention in 2014.
Die Karnevalsumzüge sind in Patras, Xanthi, Kreta, Limassol u.s.w. am 26.Februar. Am 27.Februar wird "Saubere Montag" gefeiert. Es ist der Tag das Sie Tausenden Drachen in der Luft sehen.
Während meines Besuchs am Oberbürgermeister Andreas Christou hat er gesagt begeistert zu sein als Gstgeber des 34.FECC Treffen in 2014.
