PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear carnival friends,

The 31st FECC international

convention has passed on an excellent way. We can consider this convention in Vrjnacka Banja as one of the best ever. The collaboration with all the members of the national FECC section in Serbia was unique. On behalf of all the participants I want to express my sincere compliments.

As you know the new board election will be in 2012 during the 32nd Convention. At this moment the present board doesn't reflect a correct representation of our

membership. More than 50% of our members and approximately 65% of the votes come from the Balkans and Eastern Europe, while nobody from this part of Europe is represented on the board. It is incredible that Luxemburg with 0,04% of membership and 3 votes has a place in the board. In my opinion at least 2 members from East Europe have to be in the new board. Finally I call upon new candidates for the new board.

Das 31.FECC internationales Treffen hat under exzellente Weise stattgefunden. Wir können dieses Treffen in Vrnjacka Banja betrachten als ein vom besten Treffen je.Die Zusammenarbeit mit allen Mitglieder der nationale FECC Abteilung von Serbien war einmalig. In namen allen Teilnehmer möchte ich meine Komplimenten äussern.

Wie Sie wissen findet die neue Vorstandwahl während des 32.Treffen in 2012 statt. Am diesem Augenblick ist den heutigen Vorstand keine korrekte Spiegelung unseres Mitgliederverzeichnis. Mehr als 50% unserer Mitglieder und ungefähr 65% der Stimmen

In Putignano was a press conference in the town hall. At this meeting we were informed that the aforementioned mentioned cities want to establish an association to promote their carnivals abroad with the assistance of the FECC.

In Juli hat der FECC Präsident die Karnevalsstädte in Apulia (Süd Italian) besucht. Die Absicht war um die Verbindungen mit der Städte Crispiano, Tricarico, Putignano und Alberobello zu verbessern. Auch wurde die berühmte Karnevalstadt Massafra besucht, diese Stadt möchte FECC Mitglied werden. In Putignano war eine Pressekonferenz im Rathaus. Während dieses Treffen haben die genennten Karnevalsstädte mitgeteilt dass mann eine neue Assoziation gründen willen für Werbung ins Ausland mit Hilfe der FECC.

BOSNIA-HERZIGOVINA

Like in Serbia all the carnivals are celebrated in the summer. The carnival in Banja Luka

kommen aus Ost Europa, weil kein Mitglied aus Ost Europa im internationalen Vorstand vertreten ist. Es ist unglaublich das z.B. Luxemburg mit 0,04% der Mitglieder und 3 stimmen ein Vorstandsmitglied hat. In meiner Meinung müssen mindestens 2 Mitglieder aus Ost Europa einen Sitz haben in dem neuen Vorstand. Schliesslich rufe ich neue Vorstandskandidaten auf.

NETHERLANDS

On 23rd July 2011 was the election of the carnival queen of the so called "Zomercarnaval"of Rotterdam. On Saturday 30th July will take place the largest sommercarnival on the European continent namely in Rotterdam. Last year were approx.1 million visitors. Mr. Rossini van Wijk will participate with his group´`Kingdom under the Sun`. Many times he was a winner during this famous carnival.

Am 23.Juli 2011 war die Wahl der Karnevalsköniging des Rotterdamer Sommerkarneval. Am 30.Juli 2011 findet den berühmten Karnevalsumzug in den Rotterdamer Strassen. Dieser Karneval ist das Grösste des Europäischen Kontinent mit ungefähr 1 Million Zuschauern.Herr Rossini van Wijk wird wieder teilnehmen mit seine Gruppe `Kingdom under the Sun` Er hat schon verschiedene Mahlen gewonnen.

Seit den letzten Jahren ist Karneval ein neues Phänomen in Serbien.Wegen des Mangeln eine Karnevalstradition werden die Karneval im Sommer erfolgreich gefeiert.

In Juni u.Juli haben die Karneval in Pancevo, Belgrado, Leskovac und Vrnjacka Banja stattgefunden. Am 27.August findet der 3.internationale Karneval in Pozarevac statt und am 15-16-17.September in SABAC.Schliesslich wird das Weinfestival von Vrsac am 18.September stattfinden
