You are welcome to join us on the mats for one free class, and two more paid classes before you decide whether you want to sign up as a registered student.
National registration with Aikido Kokikai Australia
Annual registration with Aikido Kokikai Australia is $80 for adults (16yrs and over), and $50 for children (up to 16yrs). All students must subscribe to AKA before their fourth class. Registration includes insurance for each student, and allows students to attend national and regional training events (some of these events included children's sessions). Registered students are also eligible to grade.
Mat fees
We try to keep the cost of training low in order to make it available to as many learners as possible.
Adults (16yrs and over):
Casual rates for adults are $15 per class ($12 concession). A 10-lesson card is available for $120. It allows access to any 10 adult lessons. Adult concession rate for 10-lesson cards is $100 (full-time student, unemployed or seniors card). We also have annual passes ($600) for adults at a flat rate.
Children (4yrs to 15yrs):
Casual rates for children are $10 per class ($8 concession). A 10-lesson card is available for $80. It allows access to any 10 children's lessons (or adult lessons for children over 12 years of age who also take part in adult classes). Child concession rate for 10-lesson cards is $70 (where parents are a full-time student, are unemployed or have a seniors card). We also have annual passes ($300) for children at a flat rate.
** Please note that this system will change to term passes in 2018
Teenagers
Children 12 years old and up are invited to attend adult classes, but pay mat fees and AKA registration fees at the child rate, until they are 16 years of age.
** In 2018, children attending adults classes will pay child-rate AKA registraton fees and adult concession rate mat fees.
Family rates
We have a very popular system of family discount 10-lesson cards at the dojo. Please see your instructor for details. We can also offer family rates on annual passes.
Special packages
Beginner packages are available for adults, which includes 20 free classes plus many other benefits. Please inquire about family package discounts as well.
Grading fees
Grading fees apply for both adults and children.
Child grading fees are $15 each, regardless of rank.
Adult grading fees are set at the following rates:
6th Kyu: $45
5th Kyu: $55
4th Kyu: $65
3rd Kyu: $75
2nd Kyu and above are payable at Spring Camp, and rates are set by AKA.
