BEHAVIOR OF SWIMMERS: Remember, supervision of swimmers competing at this event is the responsibility of each individual team and is imperative!!! Please assign several parents to supervise your swimmers prevent things from “getting out of hand”. (Please see section on Sportsmanship)
Thank you for your attention in these matters. Have a safe, fast and fun meet. Also, please leave your area clean at the end of each session.
VANDALISM: Anyone attending the Western Mass Swim League Championships found damaging or destroying property would be ejected from the meet immediately. The person ejected will be responsible for all repair and/or replacement costs for damage.
SPORTSMANSHIP: A sportsman is defined as, “one who plays fairly and wins or loses gracefully.” We believe that participation in the sport of swimming offers an opportunity to develop skills that can lead to positive lessons, which can be remembered and drawn upon for a lifetime.
But we do not live in an ideal world. So, the Meet Committee will enforce the following policy relating to behavior of an un-sportsmanlike manner.
Any swimmer, parent of a swimmer or other individual who acts in an un-sportsmanlike manner may be ejected from the meet. Harassment of any official or coach while on deck by any individual will not be tolerated.
AWARDS: Medals and ribbons won at Championships will be given at End of Season Celebration (banquet)
(DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY COACH AND BOOSTERS).
