About Troop 1430...
If you would like to learn about or join Troop 1430 please attend one of our meetings. All troop meetings are held Tuesdays at 7pm at Little River Elementary School in South Riding. The first Tuesday of the month is usually a PLC meetings for youth with leadership positions only. The troop sometimes holds meetings or special events at the Dulles South Multipurpose Center (check the troop calendar).
The troop has 60 youth members, many of whom attend Lunsford MS, Mercer MS, Freedom HS and Champe HS.
Our Favourite events are Camp Omsted, The Camp-O-Ree, The SAR Trip, and The 50 Mile Conoe Trip.
The troop also supports the fire department by working at its annual breakfast with Santa and serving as disaster victims for mass casualty training. We also actively participate in Scouting for Food, Little River Clean Up Day and support several Eagle service projects every year.
