Duane Edward Wittwer, 64, of Beloit died Sunday, May 18, 2008, in his residence. He was born in Monroe, to Jake A. and Pauline Ruth (Ryner) Wittwer on Dec. 25, 1943. Duane married Linda Partridge on June 7, 1964, the mother of his four children. He worked at W F and John Barnes for 12 years after which he worked for Ingersoll Milling for 14 years, retiring on Dec. 1, 1997. He loved fixing cars and drag racing, which were his passions. Survived by father, Jake A. Wittwer of South Beloit, Ill.; children, Debbie (Gary Cathy) Wittwer and David Wittwer, both of Jacksonville, Fla., Duane Wittwer of Stoughton and Donald (Carrie) Wittwer of Beloit; grandchildren, Heather, Steven, Coreen, Chelsea, Samantha, Celestia, Maranda, Klaudia; great- grandchild, Zachary; brother, Jake F. (Jodi) Wittwer of Roscoe, Ill.; and sister, Ruth A. (Ron) Schoville of Beloit. Predeceased by mother. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, in Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home, Pastor Ron Anderson will officiate. Burial in Floral Lawn Cemetery.
