CASPER RHYMER [RHYNER]
MONTICELLO ~ Casper Rhymer, 73, Monticello, died Tuesday night in the Monroe hospital after having been ill for several years.
Born in Mt. Pleasant township, he was a resident of Monticello for 34 years. In 1891 he married Barbara Lutzy at Monticello. After enlisting for service in the Spanish-American war in April, 1898, he became a member of the Third regiment of the Wisconsin volunteer infantry. Mustered out of service in 1899, he returned to his trade, that of carpentry.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jacob Disch and Mrs. Ida Schenk, both of Monticello; a son, Fred Rhymer of Warren, Illinois, and two sisters Mrs. John Babbler [BABLER], Monticello, and Mrs. Kate Brymer [BRYNER], Humbird.
The body was taken to the Voegeli funeral home. It will lie in state in the Zwingli Evangelical Reform church before services at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. A. R. Achtemeier will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
