Humbird - Local (3 Feb. 1934)
The Cardinals are scheduled to play at Mather Friday night of this week, with a return game at the town hall on Feb. 12th. The game at Mather is the first long distance trip the Cardinals have scheduled. Monday night the Cards dropped a game to Osseo Penquins in an over time period by a score of 26 to 24. In the first half the locals led in a score of 20 to 11, but during the second half failed to get the ball into the basket, while Osseo was dropping them in. The over time period was lost to Osseo by a lucky field throw, while the Cards missed three shots. Martin Stuve, center was out of the game by illness. Alvin Bryner starred.

The Bryner family held a reunion in celebrating their wedding anniversary - the 55th we believe it was - on July 4th. All of their family was present, their daughter Mrs. Roy Keeler and family being here from Miami, and Mr. and Mrs. Will Spring and Mrs. Vin Babler came from Monticello for the event. The members of the family living hereabouts all joined in a big picnic gathering at Hatfield in honor of the event. Mr. and Mrs. Spring and Mrs. Babler returned to their homes the next day, and Roy Keeler and family left Wednesday forenoon for Detroit to visit his people before returning to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Bryner’s many friends in the community join in wishing them many more such happy reunions.
