Advisory Board

Members of the advisory board for Broughton's Academy of Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Marketing engage our students with 21st century skills while preparing them to be workforce and college ready. Our board members will help provide on-site learning experiences at their organizations, guest speakers in the classroom, job shadowing opportunities, soft skill and college preparatory workshops, and internship opportunities.

Members represent a cross section of professionals from the hospitality, tourism, and sports marketing industries, along with representatives from the education community. As our academy grows and develops, so will our advisory board.

When you become a member, you will be actively expanding our students' educational opportunities and enriching their workforce skills and professional attitudes while creating awareness of your organization within our school community.

Current goals of the advisory board include:

• Develop an understanding of the academy's programs within the Wake County Public School System and the community.

• Help build and enhance relationships between the academy and the local hospitality, tourism, and sports marketing industries.

• Provide a volunteer base to support the academy and assist in providing and soliciting support for the academy’s programs
