Since water is such a large part of Brightfield’s annual operating budget, we rely on residents to be pro-active about conserving water. The biggest source of water waste in any home is the toilet. If you hear running water, or if your toilet takes a long time to refill, you probably need a new flapper. Or perhaps the float or chain have come undone. Another way to save water, and earn a $75 rebate, is to replace an old toilet with a newer, low-flush toilet. More info about the rebate here: https://www.tvwd.org/conservation--rebates/request-a-rebate/residential-toilet-rebate.aspx
