Fire Chief Robert A. Talloni (Ret.)

Fire Chief Robert A. Talloni (Ret.) has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Fire Science Administration from the University of New Haven, CT.Chief Talloni retired as the Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, and the Emergency Management Coordinator for the Capital of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg. He was also, the Capital City’s Crisis Management Team’s Director.

Before Harrisburg, the Chief retired in his 29th year of service from the Norwalk, CT Fire Department. He rose up through all the ranks in the Department finishing 1st on every promotional exam.

Chief Talloni has received numerous Citations, but is most proud of the Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Award, Extraordinary Patriotic Service Award, Veterans of Foreign Wars 603, and the Meritorious Service Award from the Disabled American Veterans.

The Fire Science Course provides students with the overview of skills necessary for entry-level employment in the fire service. Students will learn basic firefighter theory and skills. Completion of this course will provide the student with an awareness of what the student may expect in a career, combination, and volunteer fire department. Fire service career opportunities are very competitive. This course will enable the students to effectively compete for those jobs. This course will expose students to skills that they will be taught in a fire academy.
