Information about the Pathways
There are two major pathways that students can chose when they attend BMA: either Military Science or First Responder.
If a student chooses the Military Science Pathway the topics they will cover are:
- Military Leadership
- Navy Customs
- Navy Traditions and History
- Close Order Drill and Marching
- Proper Wear and Care of Navy Uniforms
- Leadership Training and Critical Thinking Skills
- Rank Structure
- Sea Power
- National Security
- Military Law
If a student chooses the First Responder Pathway the topics they will cover are:
- Basic Emergency Planning
- Disaster Preparation and Response
- Safety Precautions, First Aid, and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Basic Concepts of Firefighting
- National Incident Management Systems (NIMS)
- Law and Ethics as they relate to the First Responder
- Conflict Management and Community Relations
