David Oestreicher

Lt Col David B. Oestreicher has been a member of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) since 1999. He has been a private pilot since 1998, was the Commander of the Stratford Eagles squadron for six years, and held multiple positions with the CAP at local, state, national, and international levels. Lt Col Oestreicher served as an ambassador to the Royal Australian Air Force and the Czech Republic in 2007 and 2014, respectively, as part of the International Air Cadet Exchange.

Lt Col Oestreicher received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Education in Secondary Science Education from the University of Bridgeport, and expects to receive his 092 and doctorate in educational leadership from Southern Connecticut State University in 2016.

Lt Col Oestreicher has been happily married to Edina Oestreicher, the Dean of Students at the University of Bridgeport, for almost 25 years, and has two wonderful daughters (one a sophomore in Amity High School, the other a sophomore at Manhattanville College).

​Lt Col Oestreicher teaches Honors Chemistry, Chemistry, and Forensic Science at the Bridgeport Military Academy.
