3-5 Dresscode

The school’s dress code is to:

• Promote a respectful learning environment,

• Promote a sense of unity among students fostering school pride,

• Support biblical principles of modesty.

All garments must comply with the BCS dress code guidelines. Parents will be notified if a student is in violation and must bring appropriate clothing to school that complies with the dress code.

3rd-5th Boys

Shirts 

• BCS polos, t-shirts, sweatshirts and quarter zip pullovers sold by the school with the school logo.

• Solid color polos (may be worn without school logos)

• Solid color oxford styled button-up shirts (may be worn without school logos)

• Solid color crew neck sweaters may be worn over collared shirts.

• No hoodies are allowed.

Pants/Shorts

• Jean, chino, and khaki styles

  • All pants must be solid colors without any holes, or frayed spots in them.  

  • Pants must zip and button. 

• Shorts must reach the knee and cannot be denim.  All shorts must zip and button.

All garments with the BCS logo can be purchased from the school website.  Other uniform garments can be purchased from J.C. Penny, Old Navy, Target, Walmart and Kohl’s. 

3rd-5th Girls

Shirts

• BCS polos, t-shirts, sweatshirts and quarter zip pullovers sold by the school with the school logo.

• Solid color cardigan sweaters may be worn over collared shirts.

• No hoodies are allowed.

Pants/Shorts/Dresses

  • Pants must zip and button. 

• Shorts must reach the knee and cannot be denim.  All shorts must zip and button.

• Dresses and skirts are allowable at any time for girls as long as they follow all modesty and neatness rules. 

  • Dresses and skirts must reach the knee and shorts or leggings must be worn underneath.

*Several department and online stores have acceptable options for girls’ clothes.  Feminine styled polos and button-up shirts with peter pan collars are available as well as skirts and jumpers in the uniform section.

All garments with the BCS logo can be purchased from the school website.  Other garments can be purchased from J.C. Penny, Old Navy, Target, Walmart and Kohl’s. 

Casual Day

Each Friday, and on special days deemed “casual days”, t-shirts and other shirt styles not listed in the dress code will be allowed.  All modesty and neatness rules must be followed on casual days.  The decision of the administration is final on these issues. Casual days are a privilege and will be revoked if students fail to follow the dress code.

Modesty and Neatness Rules

Modesty and Neatness rules apply at all times whether on casual days, or school-related events such as field trips and extracurricular activities after school.  Parents will be notified if a student is in violation and must bring appropriate clothing to school that complies with the dress code.

• All attire must not have any logos or graphics that would not represent our school well.

• All attire must be appropriately sized.  (Not too tight, sag, baggy, etc.)

• No hoodies, sweat pants, yoga pants, pajamas, lounge clothes, athletic or jean shorts allowed any day of the week.

• No skin at the waist should show at any time.

• The neckline should not exceed below the width of four fingers placed together against the bottom of the throat. 

• At no time may undergarments show while at school.  This includes practice for athletic events.

• No tattoos are allowed.

• Piercings must be limited to the ears for girls.  Boys may not wear earrings.

• Tennis shoes are required for gym.
