Charles Garabedian was a beloved band director and music teacher at Blanchard who passed away in 1993. The Charles Garabedian Scholarship Fund was established in 1994 by the BBPO to provide scholarships to help fund the cost of private music lessons for Blanchard students who could otherwise not have afforded it. The BBPO sincerely appreciates the ongoing support from our community for this important program.

Blanchard Percussion Ensemble and the Beginning and Advanced Bands participated in a project to create a virtual concert performance for spring 2021. Students recorded their parts for the selected pieces at home or at the recording studio at school. The individual recordings were put together to create a video, so we can all hear what the band would sound like if we were all together and can see the students performing their individual parts. The video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_oud14SBYI
The video was made possible in part by a grant from the AB Cultural Council.
