4-4-0 TYPE
Boston & Maine 9 "Massachusetts" was built by Hinkley & Drury in 1846 and scrapped in 1878.
Concord Railroad 7 "Titan" was built by Taunton in 1851.
Boston & Maine 38 "James Hayward" was built by Manchester in 1866 and scrapped in 1902.
Portland Saco & Portsmouth 13 "Mousam" was built by the Portland Locomotive Works in 1866 and scrapped 1902.
Fitchburg Railroad 28 "Belmont" was built by Hinkley in 1866, rebuilt in 1878 and scrapped before 1899.
Sullivan County/B&M 601 was built by the Taunton Locomotive Works in 1881 as Connecticut River RR 33.
Number 601 was scrapped 1904.
Northern Railroad 280 "Blackwater" was rebuilt from an old Hinkley & Drury engine in 1875 and scrapped in 1895.
Boston & Maine 326 "McNeil" was built by Manchester in 1864, rebuilt to this appearance in the 1870's and scrapped 1899.
Boston & Maine 170 "Rye Beach" was built by Rhode Island in 1872 and scrapped in 1902.
Boston & Maine 613 was built by Schenectady in 1881 and scrapped in 1905.
Inspection engine 77 "Boston" was built in 1895 by the Fitchburg RR shops from an engine built by Mason in 1873.
The locomotive became Boston & Maine 900 but was in a fire and had to be scrapped in 1901.
FORNEY TYPE
Boston & Maine 28 "Mystic" was built by the Rhode Island Locomotive Works in 1883 and scrapped in 1906.
Boston & Maine 100 was built by Mason in 1887 and scrapped 1906
2-6-0 TYPE
Fitchburg Railroad 75 was built by Hinkley in 1879 and scrapped in 1896.
2-8-0 TYPE
Fitchurg RR 77 was built by Baldwin in 1879 and scrapped 1905 as an 0-8-0.
It was renumbered FRR 119, 640 and B&M 1118.
Fitcburg RR 80 was built by Baldwin in 1879 and scrapped in 1905.
Boston, Hoosac Tunnel & Western 5 was built by the Dickson Locomotive Works in 1879 and sold in 1886.
Fitchburg Railroad 90 was built by Baldwin in 1881 and scrapped in 1905 as an 0-8-0.
0-4-0 TYPE
Boston & Lowell 37 "Leopard" was built by company shops in 1871 and scrapped soon after it was photographed in 1886.
Number 67 "Comet" was built for the B&M by the Hinkley Locomotive Works in 1873 and scrapped 1894.
Boston & Maine 1 "Dragon" was built by the Boston & Maine in 1884.
Number 9 was a light passenger "dummy" built by the Grant Locomotive Works in 1878 as Number 2 of the Orchard Beach RR.
It was sold in 1902.
2-4-2T TYPE
Boston & Maine 725 was built by Baldwin in 1893 for the Concord & Montreal and probably used for lumbering.
The B&M rebuilt it as an 0-4-0 and sold it to a paper mill.
Boston & Maine 792 was built by Baldwin for a Concord & Montreal subsidiary named
Kilkenny Lumber Company. It was scrapped in 1906.
0-6-0 TYPE
Fitchburg RR 83 was built by the Hinkley Locomotive Works in 1880.
It was renumbered 346, 605 and B&M 1099 and scrapped 1910. Photographed in Boston in 1886.
Boston & Maine 240 "Hampstead" was built in 1884 by the shops of the Worcester, Nashua & Rochester RR.
The 0-6-0T was scrapped in 1898.
0-8-0 TYPE
Fitchburg 648 was built by Baldwin in 1905 as 2-8-0 Number 127. It was subsequently
FRR 127, 94 and B&M 1126. It was scrapped 1905.
