Welcome to the Bigelow Highlands Neighborhood Association (BHNA)! The association strengthens ties among the people in our neighborhood, and between our neighborhood and the City of Olympia. We welcome all residents, renters, property owners, and business owners in our area as members of this non-profit organization.

The neighborhood association boundary runs from Fir Street to Puget Street, and Yew Avenue to Fourth Avenue.

BHNA does not and shall not discriminate. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all BHNA neighbors.

Little Free Libraries

We hope you have noticed the new Little Free Libraries in the neighborhood. BHNA, using grant funding from the City of Olympia, purchased supplies to build four Little free libraries. Neighbors Bob Peller and Marj Shomshor put them together.

You can find the free libraries the following locations:

Feel free to take a book, donate a book, or both!

Give A Helping Hand,
I Mean Bag, to Those in Need

Have some canned goods you don't want? How about an extra jar of peanut butter? The Thurston County Food Project makes it easy for you to donate to those who are going hungry. Did you know that 1 in 7 Americans struggle with hunger, and a third of those are children. It's easy to help.
E-mail Gail to join the Green Bag Brigade. We give you a bag. You fill it with as much nonperishable food as you want. Every 2 months, we pick it up and leave a bag for next time.

Be in the Know

Join our mailing list to receive news releases from the city about events and projects and information about BHNA. To join, email BHNA President.
