Rache completed her undergrad at SUNY Binghamton and then worked at the Quantum Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (QuAIL) in California, where she published a paper on optimizing variational quantum algorithms that has more citations alone than all the other students in the group combined, by a factor of like 10. In addition to biking, rock climbing, hiking, camping, skiing, and personality-wise probably base jumping or skydiving, Rache somehow finds time to also fight for the rights of all grad students on campus!
Not to mention, she has an amazing GitHub page! Because Rachel believes that making powerful code accessible to the people is the only way to bring about real change. Such as her repo that is helpfully described as a "small shell program with some nice features." I couldn't fork that one fast enough!
