I Want More Math

If you or your child is into math, here are some additional resources you can pursue. We expect that there are many more resources than the ones listed here; if you have any information on any that you have experience with, please contact us and let us know.

BHS Math Club: The math club meets every week at lunch on Tuesdays in G209. They work on interesting math problems and puzzles and prepare for the East Bay Mathletes and AMC competitions. Stop on by!

Berkeley Math Circle: The Berkeley Math Circle hold weekly meetings to talk about interesting math for various ages. There is a fee and demand exceeds supply but it is a terrific community for those interested in math. See more here.

Summer Programs: There are some very good live in summer programs for young people interested in mathematics. Here are a few good ones:

Problem solving website: There have been several recommendations for this site: https://artofproblemsolving.com/ which offers a line of books for problem solving, some books on various math topics, as well as some online classes.

Good Textbook for learning Number Theory (an interesting math subject that is not covered in High School) designed for talented younger math folk:
