Jeff Coombs is the “Yank who gave the last thousand.”

A member of Barrett's Wessex, Jeff lives a few miles west of the geographical area (nearly 4000 miles in fact!) but he had every reason to support our recent fund raising campaign to purchase a HALO machine for Southampton.

Diagnosed with High Grade Dysplasia, Jeff was a recipient of the Radio Frequency Ablation treatment HALO delivers, burning away his Barrett's cells to ensure he wouldn't be another who died of Cancer of the gullet.

When he heard we were just £1000 away from being able to buy the Southampton machine, he donated the remaining money.
