Lecture prepared for 17th DL Course on Islamic Economics, organized by IRTI, IDB, Jeddah. This lecture spells out a new and radically different methodology for Islamic Economics. The paper shows that the NORMATIVE must be central to any theory of social science, and furthermore, Islam provides us with solid foundations for normative statements. Secular approaches cannot utilize this methodology because they have not basis on which to develop normative statements. Lecture itself can be viewed HERE
