This is always something that I find fascinating to look at, there are many different types to see on the web be it street paintings, lorries or rooms. One of the most interesting sites is Mighty Optical Illusions which features all manner of different subjects.
Recently I got sent a selection of 3D painted lorries which were quite breath-taking. It transpires that these are in fact Photoshopped images but nonetheless they are very intriguing...
This is my personal favourite and is obviously a play on the Hot 'n' Spicy Pringles.
I also like the lorry above that appears to be facing the wrong way, that's what it is supposed to say in German on the side of the lorry. It would definitely freak me out if I saw it on the road alongside me!
A "famous" person who does 3D street drawings is none other than Julian Beever. You will find a lot of his work on the internet and the site mentioned above has some of his newer work I believe.
Anyway here is a selection of some of my favourites...
They have to be viewed from the correct angle in order to see the image as it should be seen,
for example, this image shows a woman in a swimming pool but viewed from this angle it's all wrong.
But look at it from the correct side and voila, suddenly everything makes sense!
The other type of 3D art are wall murals and here are a couple of those too.
I think both of these are quite amazing to see and I take my hat off to whomever created them, they are indeed works of art!
Has anyone out there ever wondered what happens to old tyres when they’re past their sell by date??? The images below will amaze and astound you as they show how these useless pieces of old tat which normally end up in some landfill site somewhere can be transformed into wonderful works of art – enjoy!
