COURSE (1) - Learn Sanskrit through Shrimad Bhagavad GeetA - GEETAA SOPAANAM (2026)

AARSHA VIDYAA BHAARATI (AVB) announces a new intermediate level IMMERSION course via Zoom to help kids and adults to perfect the pronunciation and comprehension of Sanskrit through a study of the verses of Shrimad Bhagavad GeetA, using the GEETAA SOPAANAM / GEETAA PRAVESHA books from Samskrita Bharati..

Exercises will be done in the class in a group setting.  

Personal attention will be given to every student. 

Some students may have the goal of taking the entrance exam for their M.A (Sanskrit) course at the Hindu University of America. This course helps them to succeed in that entrance exam (SPT - Sanskrit Proficiency Test).

NOTE : This course is quite comprehensive, in the sense that it covers both the advaita vedAnta perspective, and the deep Samskritam grammatical aspects too, apart from teaching the correct way to chant every Bhagavad GeetA verse.

Start date : 

Batch 1: Wednesdays, 4 to 5 PM CT, starts from 24-JUN-2026;

Batch 2: Thursdays, 6 to 7 PM CT, starts from 3-SEP-2026.

Prerequisites : Should know beginner level Sanskrit, including vibhaktis and basic 4 lakArAs 

Age Limit: 10+ ages

COURSE (2) - Beginner Level Sanskrit courses for kids and adults (separate classes for kids)

AARSHA VIDYAA BHAARATI (AVB) announces a new course via Zoom to help real beginners of

the Samskritam language to come up to speed and open up their own  world of vast and limitless treasure of knowledge in Sanskrit works.

Homework will be done mostly in the classes. Examination is optional at the end of the course!  Personal attention will be given to every student.

Start date : Saturdays, 6 to 7 PM CT, starts on Saturday 11-JUL-2026  (WEEKLY ONCE)

COURSE (3) - Exploring Viveka-chUDAmaNi verse by verse

AARSHA VIDYAA BHAARATI (AVB) announces a new course via Zoom to help learn all the 580 verses of the Viveka-chUDAmaNi of Adi ShankarAchArya, one verse at a time with special talks by Swami ParamArthAnanda Ji of the Arsha Vidya ParamparA.

The Viveka-chUDAmaNi  ('Crest-jewel of discernment') is a philosophical treatise within the Advaita Vedanta tradition of Hinduism.

The text discusses key concepts such as the viveka (discrimination or discernment) between real (unchanging, eternal) and unreal (changing, temporal), Prakriti and Atman, the oneness of Atman and Brahman, and self-knowledge as the central task of spiritual life and for Moksha. It expounds the Advaita Vedanta philosophy in the form of a self-teaching manual, with many verses in the form of a dialogue between a student and a spiritual teacher.

Start date : Sundays, 1:30 to 3 PM CT, starts on Sunday 4-OCT-2026  (WEEKLY ONCE)
