Chandrasekar Raghu (Chandra) holds a B.E (Honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras, India. He had an IT career spanning 43 years and has worked in the past for the Tatas, IBM, Unisys, Sun Microsystems, Sungard Energy, British Petroleum, Baker Hughes, and The Viswa Group. He retired from his last role as Vice President (Digital Transformation), and served as the Faculty Advisor and Director of Language Studies at the Hindu University of America. He is still continuing his lifetime passion of teaching Samskritam. An informal student of Pujya Swamiji DayAnanda Saraswati, he enjoys yoga and meditation and has been teaching Samskritam since 1991 to students across the globe. Chandra's ancestors, specifically Polagam Sri Rama Sastry, have been great Samskritam scholars and poets. His father, Sri Raghunandanan, was given the title of “MeemAmsA shiromaNi” by the Madras Sanskrit College.
