2026 Draft Schedule

The Institute is now collecting Expressions of Interest for the 2026 iteration of the course, running from 22nd October - 26th November.

The cost of the course is $500 AUD for ALIA/LIANZA members, and $650 AUD for non-members.

Session times are dependent on location, beginning at: 12pm (AEST), 9am (AWST), 2pm (NZST)

Sessions will run for approximately 3 hours per week, with an additional requirement of approximately 2 hours per week of preparation work.

Week 3 Searching for Complex Topics - Thursday 5th November 

• Developing a Search Strategy for Complex Topics

• Reviewing and Documenting a Search

Week 4  Finding the Best Evidence -Thursday 12th November 

• Grey Literature

• Critical Appraisal of Systematic Reviews. Forest Plots

Week 5 Critical Appraisal and Bias Assessment -Thursday 19th November 

• Assessing Bias in a RCT

Week 6 Course finish and Summary - Thursday 26th  November

• Summary of all modules
