Atlanta Street Hockey 2024 Winter Classic Highlights

12/18 Update: Team Games showed up in a big way sweeping Round 5, shutting out Team White in the semi-finals 3-0,  and advancing to win the ASH Cup in a lights out come back. Trailing 2-0, they tied the game in the final minute only to steal the win with 0:22 remaining on the play clock to avoid a Golden Goal OT.  A center ice possession challenge involving multiple players resulted in Kat obtaining possession. With 'cat' like reflexes, a shot emanated from the stick unexpectedly advancing 30 feet directly into the net amidst stunned players and fans.  Arms were up, sticks were slammed. The Cup was won! 

Stars of the day included Team Dark's, Joseph Shaw, leading his team with 2 goals in the final and a goal and 2 assists in the Round 5. For Team Games, Zak, Byron, Sean and Kat all delivered points in Round 5, Semi and in the Final to help their team advance. Knock out defense by Shawn Spatz kept Team Games alive preventing a 3-0 route to end the cup in favor of Team Dark. 

Round 5 ended with Team Dark in Seed 1 followed by Team Games in 2 and Team White in 3rd place. The day belonged to Team Games for going undefeated on this crucial day. 

12/11/24 Update: Dark flips the standings! Goes from 3rd Seed to 1st with a sweep of the night! 1 Full Time Game and 3 Shutouts (in a row!)

12/4/24 Update: Games takes the night by +1 Goal Differential. Tight battles! No easy wins! No Shutouts!
