Simple Sites for Therapists

If you already have a domain name.....

If you already have a domain name then you'll obviously want to keep on using it. Generally speaking this won't be a problem, but there are a few things to consider while I'm building you a site. If you bought the name direct from a domain name seller - a company like Nameso, for example - then it's very straightforward. You will have been given a username and password which will let access a "control panel" - just a web page really - which will let you redirect the domain name to the site I build for you. This isn't at all tricky but I'm happy to do this for you if it's a problem - but you would need to give me the passwords and username for me to be able to do this.

If you bought the name as part of a "hosting package", however, then it's possible that things will be a little more complicated, and the probability is that it will take a week or two to sort out - so it's worth starting the wheels in motion with that as soon as you can. Nothing too tricky, but there are just a few hoops that need to be jumped through in order for your name to be transferred, and I'll be very happy to talk to you about that.

If, on the other hand, you'd like me to help you with this process I'm happy to do that, but I will need to make a charge of £25 for doing this, simply because jumping through those hoops can tend to involve a number of emails, phone calls, more emails, more phone calls and a significant amount of time!
