Here are some free items that I have created and used in my classroom. Some I have used as the Instructional Technology teacher, and some are from when I taught first grade.  Hope you find something you can use!  =)  Please remember to keep my name on anything you download as a professional courtesy.  Thank  you!

100 Chart Freebie — This file contains five different versions of a 100 chart, perfect for use on the 100th Day of school or anytime you are learning about place value.

Animal Graphic Organizers — This file includes eight different graphic organizers for recording facts for an animal unit. Types of animals included are invertebrates, vertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds, fish, and insects.

Animal Research Packet — Included in this pack are 7 graphic organizers for invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds, fish and insects, a unit summary book and an animal research project, pack which includes a parent letter, research questions, and a rubric for grading the final project.

Animal Research Project and Rubric — This file contains research pages for an animal research project. It's a good culminating activity for an animal unit. Also included are a parent note explaining the project and student and teacher rubrics for grading the project.

Animal Unit Summary Book — This file contains 6 pages that you can make into a book to summarize facts learned in an animal unit. Each page contains a fill in the blank sentence and a space for students to draw a picture. This book could be completed a few pages a day or a few pages a week depending on how long your animal unit runs. It could be used for Guided Reading and also be used as a study guide at the end of the unit.

Blank Story Starter — Here is a blank story starter form. Once students fill in each rectangle they then copy their story onto handwriting paper following the #s on the story starter for a perfectly ordered story. 

Contractions and Compound Words — Use these worksheets to help your students create contractions and compound words.

End of Year Story Starter — Need a good way for your students to reflect on their school year? This story starter could be just what you need. Students fill in the blanks and then recopy the sentences in order for a perfect story.

Father's Day Story Starter — Use this file to help students write a perfectly ordered Father's Day story. The story starter contains four boxes with one fill in the blank sentence each. Each box is number to make it easy for students to copy their story in correct order once they have filled out each box.

Independent Study Sheet on Nouns — Use these sheets to let your students practice identifying nouns including people, animals, places and things. Simple enough to let students complete independently, maybe while others are completing centers or are in reading groups.

Transportation Story Starter — This is a story starter I used for our transportation unit. It was a good way to review what we had learned as well as incorporating some Language Arts skills. Once students fill in each rectangle they then copy their story onto handwriting paper following the #s on the story starter for a perfectly ordered story.

4 Spring Bookmarks — This file includes 4 bookmarks, 2 in color and 2 in black and white for your students to color.

Book Care Just Right Books Bookmarks — Use these bookmarks to emphasize good book care and choosing a book that is just right from the library. There are 3 black and white bookmarks per page for your students to color if they wish.

Book Fair Banner — Use this banner to advertise for your school's book fair.  Just print, cut out, hole punch, string up, and hang.

Fall Story Starter — Use these story starters to have your kiddos write about fall. Students fill in the blanks for each sentence on the story starter page. Once each sentence is complete, they then copy their story onto handwriting or “story” paper following the numbers on the story starter for a perfectly ordered story.

Halloween Story Starter — Use this file to help students write a perfectly ordered story about Halloween. The story starter contains four boxes with one fill in the blank sentence each. Each box is number to make it easy for students to copy their story in correct order once they have filled out each box.

Inspirational Signs — This file contains 8 different inspirational signs that you can print to hang in a teacher work space or in a classroom.  If you have access to a poster printer, you can enlarge the pages.

Inspirational Words — This file contains 7 different inspirational words that you can print to hang in a teacher work space or in a classroom.  If you have access to a poster printer, you can enlarge the pages.

Save Tom Turkey Writing Paper — Students can use this writing paper to write a persuasive essay about why people should not eat turkey on Thanksgiving.

Valentine's Day Bookmark Sampler — This file contains 2 Valentine themed colored bookmarks and 2 Valentine themed black and white bookmarks for your students to color.
