Wurlitzer Model 120
This page shows images of a
Wurlitzer Model 120 Electric Piano that I purchased in 1971 and sold on Ebay in 2001.
I sold this to a man in Lubbock, TX . I swear I saw Norah Jones playing it the next year on a concert with Willie Nelson.
It could happen.
The instrument shown here is identical to the piano I owned in high school, except that my high school piano was painted with a tan speckled laquer finish.
The piano shown here was made in 1958. I have never seen one with a finish like this.
I played this piano in several bands during my post-college comeback from 1971 through the first half of 1974, when I bought a Wurlitzer Model 200.
This piano was in excellent working condition when I shipped it to its new owner in September 2001. It was in transit on 9/11/01.
I made this cart in my dad's workshop at home. It had rubber wheels on the bottom and scraps of carpet to protect the piano's finish.
The piano fits snugly inside its cart.
It is protected from the elements by a custom made heavy duty Naugahyde cover.
