We, the Members of the Association of Pastoral Ministry Leaders, Melbourne, acknowledge the Wurundjeri people, the Traditional Owners who have walked upon and cared for this land for thousands of years. We acknowledge the continued deep spiritual attachment and relationship of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to this country, and commit ourselves to the ongoing journey of Reconciliation.

Formerly the Association of Pastoral Associates Melbourne (APAM), the Association of Pastoral Ministry Leaders Melbourne (APMLM) is a group to provide support, networking opportunities, and a forum for communication for those working in pastoral leadership or ministry roles within the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne.
Membership is open to current or former Pastoral Associates, Pastoral Workers, Chaplains, Pastoral Carers, and other such ministers, whether accredited or not, who are employed or work voluntarily in suitably similar or related pastoral leadership roles. Their work can be in parishes, schools, hospitals, prisons, aged care facilities, hospices, social and emergency services, or other such organisations.
Our members do not necessarily work for the Archdiocese or in Catholic organisations, but are committed to the work and mission of the Catholic Church.

From Association of Pastoral Associates, Melbourne (APAM) to Association of Pastoral Ministry Leaders, Melbourne (APMLM)
In light of changes in pastoral ministry and in the Church, in 2022 the decision was made to broaden the Association to include those working in pastoral ministries other than just parishes, and to include those working in a voluntary capacity.
The Mission of the Association remains the same - to encourage, nurture and support each other in giving authentic leadership and witness to the life and hope that comes through the good news of Jesus Christ.
