Grants and Special Invitations

Grants:

•  DST SERB MATRICS Research Grant for three years 2020 to 2023.

• Year 2022: A grant  from the Ministry of Education, Chile for a research collaboration at Universidad de Concepción for a two months under the UCO 1866 Project (Plan to strengthen the internationalisation of postgraduate and research at the University of Concepción).

• Travel grant sponsored by IMPA – Instituto de Matemática Purae Aplicada and SBM – Sociedade Brasileira de Matemática, with a generous contribution from IMU – International Mathematical Union, to attend International Congress of Mathematicians 2018  (ICM 2018) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 

• Conference Grant from Committee for Women in Mathematics, International Mathematical (CWM-IMU) Union to attend the World Meeting for Women in Mathematics (WM)^2 held in August 2018 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 

• Research support by the Department of Mathematics Research Committee/IMI, University of Bath, UK for a collaborative research work with Dr. Apala Majumdar, University of Bath, UK in 2016. 

Special Invitations:

•  Invited to be on a panel at the International Conference on Women in Pure and Applied Mathematics held at SRM University AP, Andhra Pradesh during January 01-05, 2024.

• Invited to give an interview at the NIAS project of IISc, Bengaluru on Women in STEM Disciplines.

• Invited to be on a panel ``Women in Mathematics ; the Indian Story" during the Inaugural Meeting of Asian-Oceanian Women in Mathematics (AOWM) on April 24, 2023.

• Funded by IMU-CWM (International Mathematical Union-Committee for Women in Mathematics) to give a plenary talk at the "Hypatian Voices: A Gynocentric National Seminar on Mathematical Sciences" held at the University of North Bengal on 16th-17th March, 2023. This event is jointly organised by IWM and NBU.

• Invited to be on a Panel Discussion on “Research Avenues and Opportunities” during a one day long online webinar 'Pathways to develop Research Skills in Mathematics' on 5th March 2022 organised by Department of Mathematics, SIES college of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sion(W), Mumbai under the aegis of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), Department of Higher Education, MHRD, GoI on March 5, 2022. 

• Invited to be on a panel as part of the Inaugural Workshop of Women in Math Association which was held at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIITD) on April 13, 2019.

• Invited to be on a panel as part of the workshop with the theme “Bridging the Gap Between School and College Mathematics” during the Inaugural conference of Mathematics Teachers’ Association - India which was held at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education during January 3-5, 2019.

• Invited to be on the "Faces of Women in Mathematics!" film supported by the CWM (Committee for Women in Mathematics) of the IMU (International Mathematical Union) which included 146 clips featuring 243 women mathematicians from 36 different countries and speaking 31 different languages.  This was released in March 2018.

• Invited to be a main speaker at the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of the All Muslim Education Committee, Mangrol on May 25, 2014. In addition to encouraging the bright students, this function aimed at working towards the progress and transformation of the educational status of the community by

(a) generating excitement in them about science and other fields

(b) spreading awareness among them about higher education opportunities. 

The content of the lecture was covered in major newspapers of Gujarat. 

• Invited to give an interview to Doordarshan Girnar channel as part of Minority Welfare Awareness Program which was telecast on February 08, 2012.

• Invited as a chief guest to give a lecture at a Felicitation Program organized by Veraval Muslim Education and Welfare Society held at Veraval, Gujarat on January 29, 2012.
