My name is Ana, and I am currently a third grade teacher in Washington State. I have been teaching third grade for three years and I absolutely love my job. I enjoy being around young minds and watching them grow and become great learners. I live by myself, with my dog Benito.
I have always known I wanted to be a principal, and even though I work at an elementary school right now, I know that my goal is to end up being a high school principal. Recently, I have been given the job of being the ASB Coordinator at the school I work at and I have come to realize that I love it. This starting experience for me just confirms that getting my degree in leadership is the right path for me.
I am hoping that my graduate experience this year will be more hands on that my undergraduate experience. I am hoping to able to learn a lot about leadership, especially the hard parts, as in confrontations, or hard decision-making. I hope that this experience will lead my in the right career path to one day be a high school principal.
