Coaching and mentoring young individuals how to compete individually and as a collective unit through athletics.
Athletics is a vehicle to teach life lessons and learn life-long skills. It helps develop young men who will be a positive influence in whatever future endeavors they choose and will be respected in their communities.
Unchangco coached 14 years at the club and all levels of high school basketball. He served the 2013-2014 season as head coach at Santa Paula High School and previous 8 years at Rio Mesa High School; coached the 2012-2013 Ventura County All Star West Team; one Ventura County Player of the Year, fourteen 1st-Team All League (Pacific View, Frontier). Unchangco coached basketball teams have qualified for CIF in 18 of the last 20 seasons, been CIF runner-up and qualified for the CIF State tournament 3 times.
Coach Unchangco also led the Foothill Tech HS Boys Tennis Team to the 2021 CIF Championship, as well as 3 League Champions and 2 League Runners-Up.
