My Interests

I am interested in teaching undergraduate and graduate level art courses in the following areas:

· Media arts: net art, game art, video art

· Interactive multimedia Installation

· Immersive environments: History, technical achievements and development, social impact, as art in a gallery

· Graphic design: Design issues, typography, book, logo, stationery designing, artist book making, static and moving image processing and compositing

· Animation: History, 2D animation, computer animation, 3D modeling, compositing,

· Other broad topics such as media art as a tool for education, children and media arts, digital culture, historical and contemporary issues of media, media and performance, new media and multiple authors, contemporary visual arts and oriental visual arts.

Mgt 3850 & Nmed 4990 India Work Study: A six weeks internship plus study of culture program that equips students with working abroad and observing the culture of India. Students work in India or Indian based companies in the areas of Management, Finance, New Media and Non – profit management.

New Media 1000 and New Media 2020 : Taught design issues, new media concepts and theories. Students get hands on experience with digital software Photoshop, Dreamweaver MX and Premier. This course is offered to both new media and non-new media students.

3000 level Studio course- Animation 1 : Assisting the instructor in teaching various concepts and techniques of animation: Single Frame Animation - under the camera drawing, rotoscope, puppet- cut out,

Digital Animation- image capturing with Frame Thief software and editing in Flash software

1000 level- 4-D Studio-Assisting the instructor teaching the time concept, filmmaking and multimedia art. The course focuses on concept of real time, audio art piece, movement in performance and video art. Teaching concepts of performing art and digital packages like I-Movie, Sound edit, Mini disc audio recording and transfers

2000 level -Art and Technology Fundamentals: image editing, compositing, design issues and critical thinking on New Media art.

Internet designing packages - Photoshop, Director, I-Movie, Dreamweaver, Gif builder, HTML, Macromedia Director package, animation and interactive art.

Taught students in lab film editing and dubbing, in class authorizing workshops to students for the use of various film and video equipment. I have also prepared an instructional video on Cannon GL-1 teaching how to use a camera for artwork and conducted workshops for teachers and tutors on various video and audio editing packages, video recording equipment, audio recording equipment, A/V dubbing and transfers
