The actions of the Bahraini and Saudi forces are a lesson to us all about the true nature of wahabism and its fundamentally un-Islamic conception. When people hold such beliefs that permit or encourage them to perform the grave sin of takfir, attempt to oppress any form of Islam in the name of their own distorted religion and destroy the physical evidence which refutes their claims to be guardians of the din, it is clear not just to Muslims but to the world that they are not from or part of Ahl al-Sunnah.
The response of MINAB is a true reflection of the way Sunni and Shi'a leaders are working together for the good of Islam and humanity. The ISB and AoBM have also spoken against the Bahrain actions, and Birmingham Central Mosque hosted a protest gathering. There is thus no doubt that the years of informed dialogue between Muslims in the west have largely negated the fortunes spent by wahabi princes to conceal their own beliefs by causing sectarian disharmony amongst Muslims who believe, unlike them, that Allah (swt) has called us to worship Him freely and in the way we believe best from within the guidence of Qur'an and Sunnah. Therefore, it is not just a question of the Shi'a of Bahrain being cruelly oppressed by despots but of a corruption that attacks the heart of Islam being openly manifested and it is this that has united so many branches of the Ummah in opposition to them.
