New York brewers

I had the opportunity to gain insight into the following businesses:

1. The G. Ehret's brewery, with a production of around 1 million barrels is not only the largest New York brewery, but one of the largest American breweries overall.

2 The J Ruppert's brewery, as a representative of a large, typical-American highly modern managed brewery.

3 The Liebmann's brewery, in contrast to the previously mentioned largely based on German practices

4. The Ebling's brewery

5. The Hudson brewery in Hoboken.

The last two mentioned are typical-American breweries, of which particularly the latter boasts with working with the greatest possible savings in manpower (1 man per 8000 barrels production).

6. The Piel's brewery. A mid sized, but exemplary organized and managed brewery, lead entirely according to the German system, for example using the three mash-decoction process and producing only pure malt beers."
