As you are probably aware, we are just one branch of many on the whakapapa website.This new whakapapa homepage has information that is specific to our branch. Why have branches?

• 1. To protect the privacy of living people - Registered users that are not blood-related are restricted from each others details, photos, media etc

  2. To filter irrelevant information - Information of living people that are not blood-related is filtered from user viewing.

  3. To minimise cost - Having separate websites for each whanau would come at extra monetary and labour costs.

  4. Convenience - Users that are blood-related to more than one whanau need only login to one location
