Adding Whanau to our Facbook Page

Kia ora whanau,

Our facebook page has now been cleaned up however some whanau are a little unhappy that they or their whanau have been removed and are now out of the loop. Why they are unable to submit their connection to us is a little bewildering however...

It has been decided that in order to keep everyone in the whanau informed with what is going on, we need to allow whanau to "add" whanau to our page without having them submitting their whakapapa before being accepted. We ask that you please only invite people you know are actually whanau.

This will mean however, that the whakapapa group username and password will be removed. Anyone wanting access to our whakapapa will now have to apply for individual access.

The only disadvantage of this is the hoha with applying and proceesing of the applications. Once this is done however, there should be no other hassles.

The advantages are many... increased security, access to alot more information, advanced whakapapa charts, timelines, a relationship facility and more.

To help us with this process, please start re-adding your whanau to our closed facebook page. Click on the "members" tab and then the "add people" tab.  If they choose to leave our group after this, they are able to do that.
