Sarah Davie was a dressmaker and shirt maker.

1924 – 1940 Lilian Snow

Lilian Snow was the youngest daughter of William Snow. She was unmarried and in 1924 applied for a pension of £20 a year from Trinity Hospital. Out of six hundred applicants, only thirty three were successful; Lilian being one. She died in 1940.

1939 – 1949 Office of Central Paper warehouse

Previously in Clyde Street, this was the office of John Hogg Marshall, a paper merchant. The business moved here from Clyde Street and moved on to Number 8.

1939 – 1945 Office Edinburgh Showcard & Poster Service

This company moved here from Number 11. Run by Allan Gillespie, a ‘ticket writer’, the company produced bill posters and illustrated showcards to advertise goods and services which were mounted in restaurants, shops and hotels.
